The problem

People want AI images and video without learning a different tool for every model. A studio with many models also has to stay safe and fair: block harmful requests, label what AI made, and not charge for a generation that fails.

What we built

  • One studio for image and video, with many hosted models to choose from.
  • Tools that start from a prompt, an upload or a template, and automatic captions for video.
  • Layered safety checks on prompts, uploaded images and generated images.
  • A “Made with AI” label written into each generated file’s metadata.
  • Credits and subscriptions, with automatic refunds when a generation fails.
  • A mobile app built with Expo, with sign-in and account deletion inside the app.
  • Content reports, and a moderation screen for the team.

Approach

Key decisions. What we chose, and why.

  1. 01

    Many models through one gateway

    Image and video models are reached through Replicate, so one studio can offer models from many makers.

  2. 02

    Safety in layers, not one filter

    Prompts get a keyword check and an AI moderation check. Uploads are checked before use, and generated images are checked again before they are shown. A blocked request costs no credits.

  3. 03

    Label what AI made

    Every output file carries a “Made with AI” label in its metadata. Images on the free plan also carry a visible watermark.

  4. 04

    Credits that stay fair

    When a generation fails, its credits go back automatically. Plans and credit packs run through Stripe on the web.
