Who we are
This website, foldox.com, is run by Foldox Limited, a company registered in Ireland (company number 822581), registered office: Cois Glaisin Court, Navan, Co. Meath, Ireland. We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact us at contact@foldox.com.
What this policy covers
This policy covers foldox.com and the messages you send to our foldox.com email addresses. The apps we operate (Lovino, sighting.ai, hiy.ai) each have their own privacy policy on their own website.
What we collect and why
When you contact us
If you use the contact form or email us, we receive your name, email address, company (if you give it) and your message. We use them to reply and, if you ask, to discuss working together. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries, or taking steps at your request before a contract.
If you report a problem with one of the apps we operate, for example to safety@foldox.com, we use your report to look into it and to meet our legal duties. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the apps safe, and our legal obligations.
To stop spam, the form briefly uses your IP address to limit how many messages one connection can send. It is kept only in the server’s temporary memory and is not stored with your message.
When you visit the site
Our hosting provider processes technical data such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a secure website.
Cookies
This website does not set cookies and does not use advertising or tracking tools. See our cookie policy.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of service providers who process data for us under contract:
- Vercel Inc., which hosts this website.
- Resend, which delivers contact-form messages to our inbox.
- Our email provider, which stores the messages we receive.
Some of these providers are based outside the European Economic Area. Where data leaves the EEA, we rely on safeguards the law allows, such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
We may also share personal data with the police or other authorities where the law requires it, for example when we report illegal content. We do not sell personal data.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after our last contact with you, unless they lead to a working relationship, in which case we keep them for as long as the law requires for business records.
We keep safety reports for as long as needed to handle the report and meet our legal duties. We may keep information that no longer identifies you.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable form. Some of these rights have limits set by law. Email contact@foldox.com. We will reply within one month, as the law requires. If a request is complex, the law allows up to two more months, and we will tell you if we need them.
You can also complain to the Irish Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie, or to the data protection authority in the EU country where you live or work.
Children
This website is for businesses and adults. It is not aimed at children.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update it here and change the date at the top.
